InteRNA Technologies
One of the fastest moving fields in today's biomedical research concerns small non-coding RNAs in general and microRNA (miRNA) in particular. As insights into the role of these RNA species in health and disease are emerging at high speed, so are the opportunities for developing new diagnostic, prognostic and therapeutic applications.
InteRNA Technologies, based in Bilthoven, the Netherlands, focuses on these developments and actively explores and exploits opportunities to apply its miRNA discovery and validation technologies and translate its miRNA research into successful diagnostic and therapeutic applications in the field of oncology and other major disease areas.
InteRNA Technologies B.V. was incorporated in 2006 and has established a close relationship with the research groups of Edwin Cuppen, PhD, and Eugene Berezikov, PhD, of the Hubrecht Institute (Utrecht, the Netherlands). These leading scientific groups in the field of miRNA research have identified and patented a large number of new miRNA sequences, as well as the methods to identify these sequences and exploit their potential. These IP rights have been transferred to InteRNA Technologies to enable clinical and commercial development and furthermore provide a solid basis for the ongoing expansion of its patent portfolio.
For InteRNA Technologies we have developed the following package:
